Installation of Solid Glass Bricks

Solid glass bricks, also called crystal bricks, are made by melting the glass and pouring it into a mold. After the glass bricks are cooled and polished, they can finally become a solid glass body with a crystal clear surface and a smooth and translucent surface, like a crystal-shaped brick.

The construction method of solid glass bricks is similar to the construction method of red brick walls, and the auxiliary materials need to use high-transparency glass glue.

Glass bricks should be dry, clean and free of any debris:

If the bricks are dirty, please clean them with water and then place them to dry completely before use. Check the glass bricks to make sure there are no cracks or that the bricks are intact.

Glass bricks do not absorb water, so they are adhesive. A binder needs to be added to the mortar to ensure that the bricks have sufficient bonding strength.

Glass bricks should be laid in a stretcher bond pattern. Engineering needs advice on stacking bonding patterns. Bricklaying should be carried out in the same manner as standard.

During installation, clean with clean water and remove any bricks.  The mortar on the surface of the bricks should not be allowed to dry. Acid should not be used to clean brickwork
