The 2025 CHINA (GUANGDONG)-ASEAN TRADE PROMOTION AND SUPPLY CHAIN COOPERATIONMFCHANISM DEVELOPMENT COORDINATION & EXCHANGE CONFERENCE was held in Guangzhou on June 10. It is one of the highest-level international conferences between Guangdong and ASEAN in recent years. The conference was hosted by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and co-organized by the China-ASEAN Business Council, Guangdong Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade and other units. It aims to deepen regional industrial chain and supply chain cooperation and promote two-way trade and investment.

The first batch of Guangdong Merchants Trade and Investment Service Centers were established in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam, relying on the resources of local Guangdong Chambers of Commerce to provide localized support for Guangdong enterprises.

Guangdong Import and Export Co., Ltd. and China Qinfa Group signed an Indonesian coal mine investment agreement;

Guangdong Tourism Holdings Group and Cambodian enterprise NEW HUA SHENG reached a strategic cooperation;

The total amount of 7 cooperation projects exceeded US$3.1 billion.

• Upgraded cooperation between industrial and commercial institutions

Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a memorandum of cooperation with Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, etc., covering multiple fields such as economy, technology, culture and tourism.

• Supply chain resilience construction

ASEAN representatives called for strengthening policy coordination: Cambodia proposed to build a "regional supply chain node" to attract Guangdong enterprises to invest in electronic assembly, agricultural product processing and other fields, and enjoy duty-free access policy67; Indonesia emphasized the complementarity of resources and manufacturing (Indonesia is rich in resources but weak in industry, Guangdong can provide technology and industrial chain support.

• Cross-border e-commerce ecosystem optimization

In the parallel meeting "China (Guangdong)-ASEAN Cross-border E-commerce Cooperation and Exchange Conference", Jitu Express proposed

• Three cross-border logistics solutions:

Deep localization (such as achieving full coverage of 10,000 islands in Indonesia);

• Flexible supply chain management (adapting to ASEAN's diverse promotion cycles);

• AI technology application (intelligent sorting system reduces logistics costs)5.

At the same time, it called on ASEAN countries to increase the penetration rate of electronic payments to reduce the constraints of the cash on delivery (COD) model on logistics efficiency.
